Program overview and educational activities.

The residency program concentrates on the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and vision problems commonly encountered in a medical center environment. Typical conditions encountered include glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, vascular disease, neruo-ophthalmic and systemic medical conditions and low vision. Residents learn a varitey of advanced skills including as visual field  interpretation, punctal plug insertion, fluorescein angiography with interpretation, ocular photography, and removal of foreign bodies.

We have an experienced and dedicated group of clinicians and researchers. Each clinician strives to create a supportive and challenging clinical environment to encourage our residents.
