Peter Lalle, O.D. FAAO, Chief Optometry. Dr. Lalle has extensive experience in clinical training. He is involved
in several clinical professional organizations, including a founding member of the Optometric Glaucoma Society, and member
of the International Perimetric Society. He also holds adjunct faculty appointments at Salus University/Pennsylvania
College of Optometry, New England College of Optometry, and State University of New York College of Optometry.

Litwak, O.D. FAAO, the Director of Residency and Student Programs, graduated from PCO in 1985 and completed a Residency in
Hospital-Based Optometry at the VAMC Baltimore in 1985-1986 and has been the residency program director since 1987. He holds adjunct faculty appointments at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, New England College of Optometry,
and State University of New York College of Optometry. Dr. Litwak is author of
the Glaucoma Handbook, Program Director for Ocular Therapeutics Continuing Education, founding member of the Optometric Glaucoma
Society and international lecturer on ocular disease.
Rex Ballinger, OD FAAO is an attending residency trained optometrist, member of several professional organizations and
is a founding member of the Optometric Retina Society. He also holds adjunct faculty appointments at Salus University/Pennsylvania
College of Optometry, New England College of Optometry, and State University of New York College of Optometry.
He has been involved in several funded clinical research projects including NEI clinical
trials in ocular disease. He also serves on various committees for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry
and other organizations. He is an international lecturer in ocular disease.
Kelliann Dignam, OD FAAO is an attending residency trained optometrist, and member of
several professional organizations. She also holds adjunct faculty appointments at Salus University/Pennsylvania College
of Optometry, New England College of Optometry, and State University of New York College of Optometry. She is on committee with the American Academy of Optometry. She has also lectured at national meetings.
Zoe Lazarou, OD FAAO, is a full-time attending VA residency
trained optometrist with many years of experience. She is a member of several professional organizations. She is adjunct faculty
at Salus University/Pennsylvania College of Optometry, New England College of Optometry, and State University of New York
College of Optometry. Her interests include anterior segment and retinal diseases. She has published several papers and
posters in peer review journals. She has also lectured at national meetings.
Olga Whitman, OD FAAO, completed her Residency in low vision at the William Feinbloom
Vision Rehab Center, Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She is the Low Vision Optometrist at the Advanced Low Vision Clinic-
Loch Raven campus. She has had addtional experience in Low Vision Rehabilitation at the Lions Low Vision Center at the
Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is adjunct faculty at Salus University/Pennsylvania College
of Optometry. She has interests in traumatic brain injury and is involved in the national Low Vision Intervention Trial (LOVIT
II).
Rigoberto Arteaga, OD, is our newest full time attending optometrist. He completed
his residency at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. He also holds adjunct faculty appointments at Salus University/Pennsylvania
College of Optometry, New England College of Optometry, and State University of New York College of Optometry and is a member
of several professional organizations.
